Stefan Treneski Achieves First Career Podium in the Twingo Cup

As a rookie this season in the Twingo Cup series, Macedonian driver Stefan Treneski achieved his first career podium in his sixth race. In the second race at the Most circuit in the Czech Republic, the F4 CEZ Academy member secured third place, competing against 20 drivers from five countries.

This podium is a milestone for Treneski, the son of Vladimir Treneski, who competed in the first three Twingo Cup seasons. Back then, Stefan accompanied his father to races, and over time he developed a passion for driving. Through the CEZ Academy, he earned the opportunity to compete against top drivers.

This season, Treneski has participated in five Twingo Cup events. At the season opener in Mugello, Italy, he finished 10th in the first race and did not place in the second. He showed strong improvement in Slovakia, finishing fourth in the first race and fifth in the second. In the Czech Republic, he started from pole position and ended the first race in fourth place.

In the second race at Most, Treneski led from the start, followed closely by Marko Blazhevski, with Nik Stefachik and Nik Poljanec behind them. After nine minutes, Stefachik overtook Treneski from the inside near the wall, and Poljanec soon followed, pushing Treneski to third place.

Meanwhile, Blazhevski was hit in a corner and forced off the track, dropping from the top six to outside the top ten, eventually finishing 13th.

The third Macedonian driver, completed the race without major incidents. Despite going off-track early and having to pass through the safety barriers, he continued steadily and made the most of his car’s performance.

In the end, Nik Poljanec won the race, overtaking Nik Stefachik in the final meters.

The next round of the Twingo Cup will take place from August 22 to 24 at the Slovakia Ring in Slovakia.
